Press Release, Moscow, 05/09/2017: On 12 and 13 October 2017, the Mines-Télécom Institute (IMT) and the Moscow Higher School of Economics (HSE), with the support of the French Embassy in Russia and the participation of the French Tech Hub Moscow, organize a Franco-Russian workshop on bigdata and their use. One of the sessions will be devoted to their use in the retail sector.

Currently, the use of large data technologies is a priority sector of scientific and technological cooperation with Russia. The first prospective workshop organized on 2nd December 2016 demonstrated the possibilities for Franco-Russian exchanges in the field of massive data and launched the first collaborations of research.

The second edition, spread over two days, will give the floor to researchers from INRIA, various laboratories involved in the GDR CNRS MaDICS and IMT including the platform of services big data “TeraLab”.

The workshop will focus on strengthening research and training collaborations in the field of mass data. It will aim to initiate research partnerships with industrialists and SMEs in the field of “retail” and to outline collaborative projects with Russia, in particular within the framework of the Horizon 2020 European programs. A workshop dedicated to financing and appeals programs will be conducted in the presence of the French national ICT contact point.

One afternoon will also be devoted to the “retail” sector, with the participation of the French Tech Hub in Moscow.
