GEODATA FOR RETAILERS

The product

Geomatrix, with its analytical software, helps commercial companies to find the best locations for their expansion and to respond quickly to changing patterns of consumption. To do this, the program uses extensive statistical data such as population density and purchasing power, breaks it down to individual streetcars and links the whole thing with anonymized movement of data from smartphones. For the operation of the program, a 20-minute instruction is sufficient, without any GIS specialist. The system has taken so far data from 67 countries. Geomatrix takes about a month to add the data for a completely new country to the program.

The enterprise

Founded in Russia in 2011 by the two Frenchmen Arnaud and Remi Trousset. Up to now, the company is financing its own funds, and by the end of 2017 the company wants to collect around 700,000 euros from investors for 10% of its shares. Geomatrix has been profitable since the beginning of 2016 and has six employees.

The customer

Geomatrix is aimed at sales managers, expansion managers and the corporate management of large retail companies. The company currently has 20 large customers in six countries, including the Ikea furniture store chain, the electronics retailer Media Markt and the French retail groups Carrefour, Decathlon and Kiabi.

ALL CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS AT A GLANCE

The product

PlanRadar offers a cloud-based software solution for building documentation as a subscription model, invoiced per user and month. The program is available for all web browsers, tablets and smartphones and can be used without any installation from any mobile device. This allows architects, engineers and construction managers to immediately document deficiencies or deviations from plans, and to communicate them to all stakeholders via the platform. A new user can get started within ten minutes. Through the digital construction documentation the working time in the defect management can be reduced by an average of 18%.

The enterprise

Founded in 2013 in Vienna by Sander van de Rijdt, Ibrahim Imam, Domagoj Dolinsek, Constantin Köck and Clemens Hammerl. The company has eleven employees and achieved sales of 348,000 euros in 2016. In the first half of 2018, PlanRadar intends to become profitable and to implement more than EUR 4 million by the end of the year with 27 employees.

The customer

The target market includes construction companies and people who work with them, from investors and architects to construction engineers and facility managers, as well as construction technicians and technicians. Up to now, Plan Radar has attracted over 900 paying subscribers in 20 countries. The first well-known customers were the construction company Porr, ATP architects and A1 Telekom Austria.

BUILDING PLANS ON BUTTON PRESSURE

The product

With Spacemaker software, building complexes or entire city districts can be designed at the push of a button, without the need for an architect to draw a new plan every time. The program can optimize the division of the area according to the parameters that the user specifies, e.g. the available square meters, the light incident or the view for the users of the building. In this way, it is not only possible to optimally use existing surfaces and to achieve better prices for the individual units, but also to restrict restrictions on the building authorities. This is intended to facilitate communication as well as significantly reduce decision-making and approval processes.

The enterprise

Founded in Oslo in 2016 by Håvard Haukeland, Carl Christensen and Anders Kvåle. Spacemaker currently has nine employees. The company achieved first sales in 2017 and intends to become profitable at the beginning of 2018. At the end of 2018, sales of more than EUR 1.5 million and approximately 50 employees will be achieved. Spacemaker has received grant grants worth USD 1.75 million through the Research Council of Norway.

The customer

The target customers are, above all, project developers, but secondly, architects, city planners, civil engineers and public administration. The first pilot projects with established Norwegian real estate developers are currently underway. The broad market is to be processed from the third quarter of 2017 onwards.
